Plan on spending many years in school if you want to embark on a career in psychology. To become a psychologist, after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology, one must attend graduate school and obtaining a master’s degree and/or doctoral degree. At the master’s degree level, one can obtain a master of arts (M.A.) or a master of science (M.Sc.).

What kinds of additional training do psychologists need?

In general, psychologists may have difficulty detaching themselves from the situation and the person's words. They may take it to personal, or be affected emotionally. This may cause depression, dissatisfaction, relationships conflicts, social/professional isolation, etc.

The chances that psychologists be replaced by robots are really low because this job required empathy, comprehension, and emotions. The helping relationship is face to face, and human to human.

Research shows that the majority of psychologists retire around the age of 60.

Presently, I am studying in Social Sciences at Lionel-Groulx College to be able to pursuit my studies in university with the aim of completing a baccalaureate in psychology, and then specialize by the mastery. I can't wait to practice this great profession!
